The D.C. Workbook supports Girls on the Run-DC whose mission is to inspire girls across D.C. and Prince George's County to become joyful, healthy and confident, using a fun and experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. Proceeds from this workbook, through December 2021, will provide program scholarships for after-school training sessions where girls gain confidence, greater self-awareness and tangible physical benefits.

This Journal was created in response to the Black Lives Matter Movement—in the fight against systemic racism, inequality, and injustice in our society. We stand in solidarity with our community to raise funds, increase awareness, and inspire people to take a thoughtful and introspective look at what actions they can take in their own lives to bring about change. One hundred percent of the sales of this Journal will be donated to the organizations below.

The Loveland Foundation: An organization dedicated to providing mental-health resources and support to communities of color—especially Black women and girls.

The Conscious Kid: An education, research, and policy organization dedicated to reducing bias and promoting positive identity development in youth.

BEAM: An organization working to remove the barriers that Black people experience getting access to or staying connected with emotional health care and healing.

Appointed is female-founded and it is our intention and priority to be socially responsible. We released our first D.C. Workbook in 2016 as a way to give back to our local community, and have since realized there is more that we can do with our platform. Through Appointed Gives Back products, we are proud to support causes that our team cares deeply about.

Like many cities, Washington, D.C. has been severely impacted by COVID-19. To support the local efforts in D.C., we created the special-edition District Notepad as a tribute to the city we proudly call home. The District Notepad features a cherry blossom which symbolizes the promise of new beginnings and optimism for a brighter future. Available in lined ruling with a water-resistant cobalt blue bookcloth cover. Net proceeds of this product support Martha's Table and their efforts to deliver healthy groceries to District residents in need.

Our donations have enabled Martha’s Table to provide over 1,000 bags of groceries, including fresh produce and shelf stable pantry items, to our neighbors in DC.
